Backup services

Backup setup, configuration audits, retention planning and restore verification.

Decide what needs to be recoverable

We identify the data and systems to protect, where copies will be kept and how long they should be retained. Existing backup arrangements can be reviewed without replacing the whole system.

  • Configure backup jobs for the agreed systems.
  • Review schedules, destinations and retention settings.
  • Check how failed jobs are reported.
  • Document the access and steps needed for recovery.

Verify a restore

A completed backup job does not by itself establish that the required data can be recovered. Restore verification checks selected data or systems against the agreed recovery need.

We define what will be restored, where the test will take place and how the result will be checked. Recovery instructions can be included in your Business IT Reference Guide.
